Sri Saradambal temple is located in Racecoursearea of Coimbatore with in the city circle.It was established in Coimbatore by the management of Sri Saradambal Math (Monastic) of Sringeri.Sri Saradambal Peetham (Throne of Veda) was founded by Sri Adi Shankaracharya at Sringeri, Karnatakaduring 8th century to teach the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta and it was the first of four main Peethams in India. The goddess of this Monastic Saradambal known as Divinity of Knowledge also sanctified by Sri Shankaracharya.Now Saradambal monastics spread across many places in India to foster Veda. The main idol of Coimbatore's Math is Saradambal and there is a separate shrine for Ganesha, Muruga and Adi Shankara inside the main Temple. The Math (Madam) has a wedding mall, which conducts many marriages in auspicious days. Navarathiri is the major festival ceremony of this temple, with flocks of devotees worship god by saying Bajanas.
