Anubhavi Subramanyaswamy temple is situated in the hill ranges of Western Ghats at about 12 Km from Coimbatore. It is located in the village Periya Thadagam on Anaikatti - Thadagam road. The main deity of this shrine is Subramanyaswamy (Lord Murugan) and Lord Anjaneya's sannathy is adjacent to it. One needs to walk 550 steps uphill path to reach the sanctum from foothill.The history of this place dates back to "Myth Ramayanam Era". As per the legend, this is the place where Anjaneya (Hanuman) quenched his thirst with the help of Lord Murugan, while carrying Sanjeevi hill during epic battle between Ramar and Ravanan.Amidst picturesque mountains with gentle breeze and peaceful environment, this place is ideal for meditation and devotion.
